Following Sanofi’s use of barcodes in its vaccines, GlaxoSmithKline announced the use of this technology in the development of its four-in-one flu vaccine packaging.

In the future, doctors and users can obtain detailed information such as the production date and batch of the vaccine from the barcode to determine whether or not it is used. It also reduces the cost of vaccine administration in the U.S. health system.
