By 2001, there were 51 PET recycling companies identified by this association (70 production lines), and companies that were certified could enjoy preferential government policies, but the association also had very high requirements on the quality of products of designated companies. The above specific policies stem from the “Recycling of Container Packaging Law” introduced in 1997. Since then, the recycling of packaging containers has become a law, and relevant parties must abide by them. This regulation imposes strict regulations on the recycling of plastics, paper products, cans and other packaging containers. For example, this regulation makes detailed provisions for the PET bottle body, cap, brand, color, etc. Manufacturers must produce according to requirements so that they can be easily recycled in the future. According to this regulation, PET bottle manufacturers and beverage makers using PET bottles must bear the corresponding recovery costs; consumers must also recycle wastes, collect them on time, collect them on time, and throw fines or be sentenced for littering. It is said that Japan will introduce new regulations this year to encourage consumers to use recycled products, which will greatly promote the recycling of containers.
