Absorption photometry is an analytical method that uses a spectroscope (prism or grating) to obtain high-purity ultraviolet / visible monochromatic light, and determines the composition of the substance based on the selective absorption of the monochromatic light by the substance. The electromagnetic radiation between the wavelengths of 10 to 390 nm is ultraviolet light, and the electromagnetic radiation between the wavelengths of 390 and 770 nm is visible light.
