Creo Introduces a Powerful Packaging Workflow

Creo introduced new, powerful workflow solutions for the packaging market at the CMM show held April 18-21, 2005. This solution includes the new Prinerg~Powerpack Prinergy Powered Prepress Workflow System and Pandora's Pandora Enabling Software that efficiently creates packaging formats. In addition, the latest version of the SynapseInSite Internet Portal software and Synapselink Business Integration software have been demonstrated live to significantly enhance the printer's prepress workflow. The above high value-added software modules can easily interface with Prinergy Power Packing Workflow to help printers achieve greater automation, better collaboration performance and higher productivity.

New Prinergy Power Packing Version 3.0

Creo Prinergy Power Packing Workflow is a PDF packaging process that provides packers with unprecedented process control, integration, and automation capabilities. The new features of the new Prinergy Power Pack 3.0 are the following.

(1) Improved user interface: The screen-up version of the screen is more optimized, simple to use and more efficient.

(2) Rule-based automation: Users can create a series of rules for Prinergy to automatically use, such as proofing, or proofing immediately after the plate is completed and the file is archived. Rules are developed through the user interface. The interface is based on buttons. It is simple and powerful. Automated processing can significantly reduce the costs for printers and packers, reduce errors and accelerate turnaround time.

(3) PDF comparison and consolidation: It can significantly reduce the management time and cost of the correction process in the packaging workflow. The PDF comparison and merge function is a new Adobe~Acrobat~ plug-in designed for Prinergy Power Packing Workflow Management System. Prepress operators can compare two files and extract the processing work from the original production file (trap, screen mark) , overprint settings, etc., and add these elements to the revised production document to ensure that the design and production documents are up-to-date, saving significant prepress processing time and costs.

(4) PDF Preflight: The operator can customize the preflight criteria or use a predefined file to automatically check and correct the input file.

(5) Enhanced HyperFIexTM: Achieve smaller dots and ensure that the dots on the printing plate remain unchanged during printing, creating conditions for flexographic printing. In addition to Creo's MaxtoneTM hybrid screening technology, this new HyperF, sx can be used for conventional AM screening.

Indolink Business Integration Software Supports More MIS

InSite Business Integration Software is a powerful information transfer station that allows printers to integrate prepress data into management information systems (M, S). Synapselink version 2.0 tracks prepress job data based on job composition and other information. This release now supports other miS vendors and adds more powerful task automation capabilities to business systems, including the ability to create jobs, archives, purges, input/output, and retrieval based on related job templates.

The management information systems of the networked printing partners GIobe-Tek and DiMS!, can track PRINT Power Packing prepress operations through the Press-to-Business integration software.

InSite Network Interface Software Now Has School Color Soft Proofing Function

New features in Synapse inSite 4.0 include InSite Color, the only school proof soft proofing tool that is fully integrated with Creo Workflow solutions and has been certified by SWOP. This tool allows multiple users of the InTouch network interface software to display and view stable and accurate colors at multiple locations, greatly expanding the functionality of Integrity's network interface, and the screen display color matches the print sample. In addition, other new features include the creation and display of customized job information forms and production plans.
